Dr. Ibarra-Alos completed her general psychiatry residency training at the University of Miami / Miller School of Medicine in Miami Florida, where she also continued her training to complete a fellowship in Geriatric psychiatry.   She holds three board certifications including in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Geriatric Psychiatry and in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine

Having been raised between Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States, Dr. Ibarra-Alos has been exposed to many different cultures which she believes helped her grow as a person in many ways.  Because of this, she is also bilingual in English and Spanish.  She believes that each person is important, therefore she tries to dedicate and respect each patient’s time to understand them better and provide the best evidence-based treatment options.

An experienced psychiatrist, Dr. Ibarra-Alos has worked in different settings including inpatient facilities, addiction facilities, and outpatient settings; this has allowed her to expand her knowledge, vision and understanding of the importance of mental health.  Currently she enjoys providing both in person and tele-psychiatric services and believes telemedicine has enabled physicians to reach patients who have difficulty accessing services, or just prefer to receive services while in the comfort of their home.

Dr. Ibarra is licensed to treat patients in the states of Florida, New Mexico and Missouri
