Substance Abuse Treatment

How is addiction treated?

Online treatment works and is available.  Millions of Americans have a substance use disorder.  Help and pharmacological or biologically based treatments for addiction need to be integrated into other established forms of addiction rehabilitation, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, online individual and group psychotherapy, behavior modification strategies, twelve-step programs, and residential treatment facilities.

What are some examples of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)?

  • For opioid dependence, suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) or naltrexone can be used in combination to psychotherapy, rehabilitation programs, and behavior modification strategies.

  • For alcohol dependence, naltrexone, acamprosate, or disulfiram can be used in combination with the techniques listed above.

  • For nicotine dependence, Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and/or Wellbutrin can be used in combination with the techniques listed above.

At New Sunrise Mental Health you can be assessed for any type of addiction and treated online according to your needs. Medications will be prescribed electronically and filled at the pharmacy of your choice, online or near you.
