How is addiction treated?

For opioid dependence, suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) or naltrexone can be used in combination to psychotherapy, rehabilitation programs, and behavior modification strategies.

For alcohol dependence, naltrexone, acamprosate, or disulfiram can be used in combination with the techniques listed above.

For nicotine dependence, Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and/or Wellbutrin can be used in combination with the techniques listed above.
